Job summary

Dream Big Children’s Center in Visalia, CA is seeking a Behavior Consultant to work under the supervision of a BCBA to assess children’s needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress. You’ll coach Behavior Therapists, collaborate with families, and help turn clinical goals into meaningful learning opportunities throughout each child’s day.

You’ll also review data weekly, discuss findings with the BCBA, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or related field required.
• At least two years of ABA experience with children on the spectrum.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach with families and team members.
• Completion of TB testing and Live Scan clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments under BCBA supervision.
• Develop individualized treatment plans emphasizing naturalistic ABA under BCBA guidance.
• Coach Behavior Therapists through modeling, feedback, and reinforcement strategies.
• Mentor Behavior Therapists and support their development in delivering ABA services.
• Review client data weekly; discuss findings with the supervising BCBA.
• Write progress reports as required by funding sources.
• Build collaborative relationships with children, parents and caregivers.
• Meet weekly with the supervising BCBA to review progress and therapist performance.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and participate in ongoing training and team meetings.
