Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Center Assistant to perform a wide range of administrative duties in Reseda, CA. You will handle data entry, busy phones, guest greetings, and intake tasks while assisting clinicians with client coordination and psychiatry paperwork.

The role requires an Associate's degree or certificate in office functions, at least one year of office management experience, and a California driver’s license; Spanish language skills are preferred to support diverse

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or business certificate in office functions; 5+ years of applicable experience preferred.
• One year of office management experience required.
• Valid California Driver's License required.
• Bilingual – Spanish preferred.
• Experience with EMR/DMH paperwork advantageous.

Responsibilities

Starting Compensation: 21.58 - 22.69 USD Per Hour

Working Location: Reseda, CA

Working Hours/Shift: Mon - Fri: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

What you bring to SBHG

• Education: Associate's degree or business school certificate in office functions or 5 or more years of applicable experience required.

How you will make a difference

This position performs a wide variety of administrative and clerical tasks including data entry of client information, handling busy phones, greeting & assisting guests, assisting the physician with clients, and assisting with intake functions. Handling extensive personal and confidential client information is an essential job function of this position. Major duties include those related to the tracking and coordination with psychiatrists to ensure accuracy of psychiatry paperwork for EMR and DMH purposes. Collaboration with the Psychiatry Services Coordinator is essential. Duties also include general office functions such as mail, posting information, arranging food for in-services or meetings, managing meeting rooms, keeping the lobby presentable to the public, maintaining correct phone extension lists, managing visiting workmen, keeping fax machines and copy machines in good repair, and forwarding important information via intercompany mail. Assisting as back-up to Receptionist, Medical Records staff, and Center Coordinators as needed, including researching data errors and MediCal eligibility determination. Coordinates with the I.T. department in the management of fax and copy machines.

Facility & Setting: Multidisciplinary program sites (~60 locations across California, including outpatient, residential, and community-based settings)

Clinical Services: Trauma-informed care, mental health treatment, and substance abuse interventions

Length of Stay: Varies by specific program track and setting (ranging from acute/short-term to ongoing outpatient support)

Skills & Transition: Strengths-based empowerment, resilience building, and long-term recovery/re-integration support Family support, skill development, advocacy, and comprehensive community resources
