Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group seeks dedicated professionals to join its California outpatient team. You will provide outreach, advocacy, education, and support to families throughout a client’s treatment and recovery process, helping identify strengths and connect to community resources.

The organization operates across California with over 2,000 professionals in 70+ programs and 60+ locations, delivering care to more than 40,000 individuals annually.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Personal experience as a consumer or family member in child welfare or mental health systems required.
• One year of full-time consumer directed services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach, advocacy, education, and support to family members throughout a client’s treatment and recovery process.
• Help families identify strengths and needs and connect them to community resources.
• Collaborate with the treatment team on care and safety planning and document services.

What you bring to SBHG:

• Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
• Personal experience as a consumer, foster parent, or parent of a child in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems required
• One (1) year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer directed services in a mental health, health care, or other social services agency / organization serving people with disabilities preferred.

Licensure & Compliance:

• A valid California Driver's License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria.

How you will make a difference:

Provides outreach, advocacy, education, and support to family members throughout a client’s treatment and recovery process. Helps families identify strengths and needs, connects them to community resources, provides crisis support, collaborates with the treatment team on care and safety planning, and documents services while promoting long-term family self-sufficiency and engagement.

Division/Program Overview:

• Population Served (Capacity): Serves clients (ages 11-17)
• Facility & Setting: Outpatient community-based services and support. Delivers client services throughout Fresno County within designated county limits. May be required to transport clients/client family members utilizing personal vehicle.
• Clinical Services (Core): Individual and family Counseling.
• Skills & Services: Medication management, Housing, Education, and Vocational Support services.
