Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for the LA County USC Crisis Residential Treatment-Valley Star program. Starting compensation ranges from $100,000 to $105,000 per year, with on-site work in Los Angeles 90033. Mon-Fri 9:00 am–5:30 pm.

The role oversees programming, provides staff supervision, and guides therapists in delivering services. Requires CA BBS licensure (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC or Psy.D) and relevant post-licensure experience; driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years direct service experience with the mentally ill, preferably adults, and Two years supervising direct care staff, in a health care setting preferred.
  • California BBS licensed as a LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D required.
  • Two years LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D post-licensure preferred.

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
  • Master's degree or PhD in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Four (4) years direct service experience with the mentally ill, preferably adults, and Two (2) years supervising direct care staff, in a health care setting preferred.
  • California BBS licensed as a LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D required.
  • Two (2) years LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D post-licensure preferred.
  • Must possess a valid CA driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy.
  • CPR certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
  • This position conducts oversight of the programming and service delivery;

  • maintains liaison with the County.
  • The Clinical Supervisor shall be on the premises the number of hours necessary to manage and administer the program component of the facility in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Division & Program Overview:
  • Facility & Setting: 16-bed voluntary residential facility offering a short-term, home-like environment. 24/7 intensive treatment is designed as an alternative to hospitalization or urgent care.
  • Clinical Services: Residents receive physical and psychological evaluation, medical support services, mental health and case management services. Serves as a “step down” transition from higher levels of care Skills & Transition: Individuals live on-site for several weeks, on average, while they receive counseling and learn basic living and interpersonal skills.
