Job summary

Cantex in Texas seeks a Community Relations Coordinator to drive census growth by coordinating referrals, tours and admissions. You will ensure that all information is gathered, documented, and communicated to the appropriate staff, and you will convert inquiries to admissions in a timely manner.

The role requires experience in long-term care or a similar setting, excellent verbal and written English communication, and the ability to read, write, and speak clearly.

Qualifications

• Preferably one-year experience in a long-term care setting with demonstrated evidence of census development.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required; public speaking skills may be necessary.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Obtain family commitment to tour via referrals and conduct tours with staff.
• Provide admission guidance and ensure all paperwork is complete at admission.
• Coordinate admissions approvals for referrals.
• Help meet census and occupancy targets.
• Attend daily manager meetings to update referrals and admissions.
• Follow a 90-day marketing plan to meet occupancy goals.
• Identify barriers and communicate to leadership.
• Make sales calls to referral sources.
• Document inquiries and follow up.
• Participate on committees as requested.
