Job summary

Dignity Memorial is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Associate to perform openings and closings, set foundations, install memorials, and handle grave maintenance tasks. You will also respond to service requests, conduct interment verification, and prepare burial sites within a 25-foot radius.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, at least six months of equipment operation experience, and a valid driving record with appropriate licenses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of six months experience operating standard equipment.
• Valid driving record and appropriate licenses to operate equipment/vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to grave and marker maintenance.
• Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Prepares site within a 25-foot radius for burials and maintains a clean area.
• Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods.
• Adheres to all safety rules and Universal Precautions.
• Maintains and protects Company assets via preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Completes Dignity University courses and other training as assigned.
• Adheres to all standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
