Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Associate to perform openings and closings for burials and interments, and to set up memorials and markers. You will maintain grounds, operate equipment, and complete work orders with attention to safety and care for families.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and teams, following Universal Precautions, and completing required training through Dignity University programs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of experience operating standard equipment.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools such as shovel, rake, and sledge hammer.
• Ability to operate larger equipment (dump truck, backhoe, tractor) and basic maintenance tools.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication with team, families, and management.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials and interments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Maintains grounds and facilities and performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Responds to service requests and completes work orders for grave and marker upkeep.
• Adheres to safety rules and company standards, completing required training.
• Supports overall duties as assigned by management.
