Job summary

Oxford Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Manager to direct and supervise all field operations for one or more cemeteries in Connecticut. The role reflects the Catholic Cemeteries Association policies and represents the Association publicly.

You will train staff, ensure safety, manage interment activities, handle paperwork, maintain facilities, and coordinate memorials, with a focus on exemplary community relations and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience supervising field employees and operations is preferred.
• Ability to train and develop staff and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all field employees and operational activities.
• Train and develop staff to perform job assignments effectively.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed in all tasks and with equipment.
• Assist in cemetery paperwork at purchases and oversee interment processes.
• Maintain cemetery standards and manage memorials and foundations.
• Assist in layout of new sections and renovation projects.
• Maintain public relations and resolve community inquiries and complaints.
• Recommend improvements to cemetery facilities and policy changes.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of cemetery equipment and buildings.
• Monitor attendance records and report excessive absenteeism.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of cemetery office records and reports.
• Operate in the absence of the cemetery manager as needed.
