Job summary

Foundation Partners Group is seeking a dedicated Cemetery Grounds Maintenance team member to keep grounds pristine and safe. You will cut grass, maintain lawns, clear debris, and assist with openings and closings of interments, while operating backhoes and cemetery equipment with care and adherence to safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license with clear record.
• Overtime and long-hours availability.
• Capability to perform various grounds duties (watering, cutting, weeding, trimming).

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markers; lays sod; moves flowers for chapel and graveside.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways; snow removal as needed.
• Prepares minor repairs to grave markers.
• Erects tents and arranges chairs for graveside ceremonies.
• Prepares crypts for entombments and maintains cemetery features.
• Assists with setups for openings/closings of interments.
• Operates backhoe to dig graves with care for surrounding vaults and markers.
• Operates equipment safely and stores tools properly.
• Performs general maintenance of facilities and vehicles; minor repairs and painting.
