Job summary

Park Lawn Corporation is hiring a cemetery groundskeeper to maintain outdoor properties and support interments at our Tennessee locations. You will operate lawn equipment, read cemetery maps, and assist with grave setup and lowering devices, all while delivering compassionate service to families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, safe lifting practices, and adherence to site safety. Outdoor work, physical endurance, and occasional local travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year grounds experience.
• Cemetery grounds experience strongly preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and overall appearance of cemetery, mausoleum, or funeral home properties.
• Operate and maintain lawn equipment and mechanized tools (mowers, trimmers, edgers).
• Set up and complete interments and entombments; assist with grave lifting and placement of caskets.
• Read cemetery maps and locate interment spaces accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned with teamwork, detail orientation, and customer service in mind.
• Exhibit time management and respect for families in a physically demanding environment.
• Travel up to 10% as needed for local duties.
