Job summary

Smith Funeral and Cremation in Maryville, TN is seeking a dedicated cemetery groundskeeper to maintain grounds, perform interments and assist with entombments. You will operate lawn care equipment, read cemetery maps, and help ensure a respectful environment for families.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and timely completion of tasks, with daily outdoor responsibilities and potential overtime. Valid driver's license and a background in grounds work are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year grounds experience.
• Cemetery grounds experience strongly preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks of grounds maintenance with lawn equipment and related tools.
• Performs setup and completion of interments and entombments as needed.
• Identify and locate interment spaces on cemetery maps.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, and time management.
