Job summary

Lincoln Memorial Group in Atlanta, GA seeks a Grounds and Maintenance Specialist to maintain cemetery grounds and facilities, assist with burial operations, and ensure safety and quality.

You will operate and maintain mowing equipment, perform light repairs, set up for services, and keep records of work performed and supplies used. High school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license required. Experience preferred. Benefits include 401(k) with match and health/dental/vision insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping tools and equipment safely.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, raking, weeding, planting, and tree/shrub maintenance.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and construction of cemetery facilities and grounds.
• Assist with burial, entombment, and interment operations, and setting up equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials, including headstones and groundskeeping supplies.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, tractors, dump trucks, and more.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any necessary repairs.
• Set up and break down tents, chairs, and artificial turf for funeral services.
• Ensure work areas, tools, and storage spaces are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all safety protocols, use protective equipment, and adhere to company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, hours worked, and supplies used.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as litter collection and general tidying.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
