Job summary

Toledo Catholic Cemeteries in Toledo, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated groundskeeper to prepare graves and maintain cemetery grounds, including excavating graves, installing vaults and urns, sodding, seeding, fertilizing, and monument setting.

You will operate equipment such as trucks, mowers, trimmers, and blowers, assist with cemetery cleanup, and work with a team in all weather conditions, following safety protocols.

This position is part of a union and pays $21.86 per hour.

Qualifications

• Able to perform math calculations and measurements.
• High School diploma/GED or vocational degree preferred.
• 3-5 years working as a groundskeeper or landscaper.
• 2-4 years operating heavy equipment and using power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare graves and maintain cemetery grounds.
• Excavate graves and install vaults, crypts, and urns.
• Sodding, seeding, fertilizing, and monument/marker setting.
