Job summary

Rose Hills in Whittier, CA is seeking a landscape maintenance associate to care for cemetery grounds, renovate landscaped areas, and support opening/closing of graves as needed.

You will operate small and heavy machinery, use hand and power tools, apply fertilizers and pesticides safely, and work with a team to complete projects on time and within budget.

Candidates should have landscaping or construction experience, a valid CA driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CA Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs.
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, maintenance, and renovation of landscaped areas throughout the park by using proper procedures, handheld gardening tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Assist with opening and closing graves and maintenance of graves and mausoleums as needed.
• Operate machinery and use tools to complete assignments.
• Work independently with a small team to accomplish landscape renovation projects on time and within budget.
• Report observations to park management and maintain safety policies.
