Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking an entry-level groundskeeper to maintain the grounds of a cemetery or funeral home location. You will mow, water, trim, and support interment activities while upholding safety and appearance standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of physical labor experience, and the ability to operate hand-held tools. Work is outdoors year-round with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months relevant experience in landscaping or general labor.
• Funeral industry experience preferred.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, and maintains flower beds.
• Operates lawn and grounds equipment including mowers, snow blowers, trimmers and leaf blowers.
• Removes debris and trash from grounds and maintains cemetery premises.
• Participates in openings/closings for interments and related ceremonies.
• Assists in grave location layout under supervision.
• Performs minor repairs to cemetery or equipment and adheres to safety rules.
