Job summary

The City of Troy is seeking a dedicated cemetery maintenance supervisor to plan and coordinate work across city cemeteries. You will lead cemetery crews and ensure grounds are kept to standards under the direction of the Assistant Director of Public Service and Safety.

Qualified applicants will have secondary education and relevant experience, plus Ohio CDL, pesticide license, and ISA certification within 2 years. This is a full-time municipal role with a competitive hourly pay.

Classified ad postings from OML member municipalities are free of charge. Member municipalities are asked to limit submissions to no more than two active classified ads at a time. A $75 fee applies to classified ads submitted by non-member Ohio municipalities, consulting agencies, recruitment platforms, and out-of-state organizations. Each ad runs for a maximum of 30 days or until the stated apply-by date, whichever comes first.

PAY RANGE: $36.02 hourly CIVIL SERVICE STATUS: Classified

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Public Service and Safety, plans and coordinates maintenance and related work for the city’s cemeteries; supervises and directs the activities of cemetery maintenance personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of secondary education (or equivalent) with experience in cemetery maintenance and a basic knowledge of management practices; any combination of training, education and/or experience which evidences skill in backhoe operation and building and grounds maintenance and possession of a valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License, and an Ohio Pesticide Application License and International Society of Arboriculture Certification within 2 years of appointment unless extended by the Director of Public Safety and Service.
