Job summary

NexTier is seeking a Mechanic 2 in Pennsylvania to maintain equipment, make servicing decisions, and guide less experienced maintenance personnel to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will read diagrams, perform routine and non-routine repairs, supervise the operation of pumps, and verify DOT compliance while staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years in a related maintenance role.
• Experience with engines, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and transmission systems.
• Ability to read and interpret safety manuals and diagrams.
• Proficient in English; able to write reports and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Guide, instruct, and train less experienced maintenance personnel.
• Monitor equipment during pumping activities and perform repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental standards, and client policies.
• Obtain required licenses and certifications.
• Read diagrams and schematics for work procedures.
• Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Verify DOT compliance after repairs.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance.
