Job summary

GCC is seeking a hands-on Terminal Operator for our cement distribution terminal in the El Paso area. The role involves loading and unloading cement from trucks and railcars, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You will coordinate with drivers, customers, vendors, and the main office to meet delivery schedules. The ideal candidate has experience in cement or ready-mix operations, a mechanical aptitude, and OSHA safety training.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in product distribution or customer relations.
• Certificate from college or technical school (1 year) preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (loading/unloading).
• Knowledge of cement/ready-mix operations preferred.
• Track Mobile/Safety training/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cement from trucks and railcars for distribution.
• Maintain, repair, and replace terminal machinery and equipment.
• Process paperwork and communicate with the main office.
• Coordinate with railroad, drivers, customers, order center, sales, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Position vehicles and operate track mobile to spot cars and set brakes.
• Operate conveyors and feeding systems to move cement to designated destinations.
• Record material weights and inventory, monitor equipment performance, and ensure safe operations.
