Job summary

GCC in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a hands-on Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with cement manufacturing experience to join our operations team. The role focuses on analyzing processes, improving efficiency, safety, and reliability while leading cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

You will evaluate processes, benchmark performance, and support capital projects, kilns, preheaters, and grinding systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience; rotary kiln experience is a plus.
• Cement processing experience.
• Self-motivated, hands-on with ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify improvements to optimize performance.
• Lead audit teams to drive effective results.
• Benchmark processes and develop best practices for internal improvements.
• Collaborate with raw materials, fuel, and maintenance groups on optimization.
• Support capital projects selection and post‑audit evaluations.
• Coordinate with quality, environmental, and engineering teams to ensure compliance and performance.
