Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a Shift Production Supervisor to lead the plant’s night/day crews in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role focuses on safe operation of kilns, mills and auxiliaries while meeting production targets.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, 2+ years of supervisory experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, and the ability to work rotating shifts in a union environment. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• 5 years in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience supervising in a union environment preferred.
• Control room or lab experience preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations.
• Experience in cement/lime/aggregate industry preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift production crew to safely operate kilns, mills and equipment.
• Follow plant Standard Operating Practices.
• Ensure all employees and contractors work safely in line with MSHA standards.
• Run the plant to avoid serious damage to equipment.
• Ensure environmental compliance and product manufactured to standards.
• Maximize equipment time and throughput per company policies.
