Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily cement manufacturing operations, coordinating plant activities to achieve safety, production, quality, and environmental goals. You will partner with maintenance and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability and control costs.

The role requires 3–5 years in cement manufacturing, with strong knowledge of process control systems and a commitment to safety leadership in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in Process Operations, Instrumentation, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in cement manufacturing, process operations, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of cement manufacturing processes and equipment, including kiln, raw mill, finish mill, and material handling operations.
• Experience working with DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and other process control systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices and enforce safety procedures across all production areas; train shift employees on required skills and ensure inspections are completed.
• Supervise and coordinate daily production operations (kiln, raw mill, finish mill, material handling, cement shipping).
• Respond to process upsets, alarms, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and control process parameters to maintain stable operation and product quality.
• Coordinate with maintenance for planned and unplanned work to ensure equipment availability.
