Job summary

Capitol Aggregates Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Mechanic Tech I - Cement to inspect, maintain and repair plant equipment and vehicles at our cement operations. You’ll handle heavy and light machinery, perform routine service, and support preventative maintenance to keep production on track.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, welding and basic machine work, with attention to safety and reliability. A GED or better, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma required.
• AA in Diesel Mechanics highly desirable.
• Must have valid and clean drivers' license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair equipment and vehicles in the plant.
• Perform routine service on on- and off-road machinery.
• Maintain heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and bulldozers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and welding/machining work.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment systems and rebuild as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and adhere to safety regulations.
• Attend to attendance as required by business needs.
