Job summary

Alamo Cement Company in San Antonio, TX is hiring a Maintenance Repairman to keep our cement processing equipment running reliably. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mills, kilns, and related machinery, with opportunities to develop your skills and advance within the Alamo Cement team.

We value hands-on experience with heavy process equipment, the ability to read mechanical diagrams, and the flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical/Trade School Degree or Certificate preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in heavy process equipment, preferably in mineral processing, or six months cement plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machinery to fix malfunctions.
• Observe operations and use precision instruments to locate problems.
• Provide detailed written descriptions of work performed.
• Prepare scope of work, parts and equipment requirements for repairs during outages.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running reliably.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
