Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team in scheduling daily maintenance and PM tasks, while supporting strategic investments aligned with HeidelbergCement objectives. You will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager and ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate planning, and drive reliability improvements on large rotating machinery.

Qualifications

• 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience including 1-2 years in supervision
• Experience with large rotating heavy industry machinery
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs; available for off-shift and weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise maintenance work to meet production needs
• Manage urgent repairs and minimize equipment downtime
• Develop and motivate maintenance staff for reliable performance
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planner for job scheduling and resource planning
• Ensure safety protocols and plant rules are followed during maintenance
• Participate in plant projects and provide mechanical input
• Maintain records and contribute to operational efficiency evaluations
• Support grievance resolution per Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Ensure tools and consumables are available and in good condition
