Fort Myer Construction Corporation (FMCC) is seeking a Cement Mason Form Setter Trainee in the DMV area. This entry-level role trains you under seasoned form setters and cement masons to lay out, build, set, and brace concrete forms, while learning safety and jobsite practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; not required.
• No prior construction experience required—willingness to learn is essential; carpentry/frames experience is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old; valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a crew.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various job sites within the service area.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in laying out form lines using grade stakes and basic survey tools under supervision.
• Help build, set, align, and brace concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and roadways.
• Learn to use levels, transits, laser levels to check alignment and elevation.
• Assist in installing form hardware to keep forms secure during concrete placement.
• Measure, cut form lumber and plywood with hand and power tools.
• Assist with cleaning, oiling forms after concrete cures and staging materials for reuse.
• Load, unload, and transport form materials and equipment to job sites.
• Support concrete crew with site preparation and safety barricades.
