Job summary

Diversified Construction & Design is seeking experienced Cement Masons to join our team. This full-time role offers benefits, company-sponsored health insurance, uniforms, and a 401k plan with a 4% company match. The hourly rate will be determined by your skills and experience.

Major duties include forming, setting, finishing, and curing concrete, monitoring weather impacts, and applying protective sealants for durable, smooth finishes.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a cement mason.
• Ability to read and set forms for concrete pours.
• Skilled in achieving a smooth, level finish on surfaces.
• Experience mixing cement, sand and water to produce concrete mixtures.

Responsibilities

• Examine forms and ensure proper construction.
• Set and align forms to desired pitch and depth.
• Ensure cement is spread, smooth and level with edging tools and trowels.
• Mix cement, sand and water to create concrete or grout.
• Ensure molds are correctly set up and stable.
• Oversee curing, protect finished work from weather impacts.
• Apply protective sealants to protect concrete surfaces.
• Monitor curing processes for durability and uniform finish.

Diversified Construction & Design is looking for experienced Cement Masons to join our team! Major tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

• Examining the forms that hold concrete or cement and ensure they are properly constructed.
• Setting and aligning forms that hold cement or concrete to the desired pitch and depth.
• Ensuring cement is well-spread, smooth, and level with the use of necessary items such as edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
• Mixing cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry, with the use of hoe, trowel, and concrete-mixing machine.
• Ensuring that wood or plastic molds are properly set up.
• Hardening and sealing poured concrete with the use of chemicals.
• Monitoring construction operations by considering how factors such as wind, heat, or cold can affect the curing of the cement throughout the entire process.
• Application of necessary protection materials such as sealants and waterproofing to protect concrete
• Overseeing and frequently monitoring the hardening process to ensure a durable, smooth, and uniform finish.
