Job summary

ProPetro is seeking a Cement Laboratory Technician to perform cement, water, and oilfield chemical tests in its cement laboratory. You will prepare mixtures, run analyses, and compile data into reports. You will work with Cement Engineers on test design, ensure quality, and maintain inventory and safety protocols.

The role requires flexibility for long shifts (12+ hours), including days or nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong math, Excel skills, and a team-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn analytical and scientific software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cement, water, and oilfield chemical tests in the cement laboratory.
• Perform experiments and analyses using chromatography, spectroscopy, microscopy, and separation methods.
• Operate lab equipment such as cement consistometers, ovens, rheometers, and water analysis kits.
• Prepare cement mixtures and chemical solutions per formulas or specifications.
• Maintain quality by sampling materials and analyzing products.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop custom cement mixes and new processes.
• Document test results, write technical reports, and input data into databases.
• Keep inventory stocked and maintain lab cleanliness and safety compliance.
