Job summary

ProPetro is seeking a Cement Laboratory Technician to perform cement, water, and oilfield chemical tests in the in-house cement laboratory. You will prepare mixtures, run analyses, and compile data into reports, while maintaining inventory and ensuring safety standards.

You will collaborate with Cement Engineers on experimental design and process improvements, while adhering to customer specs and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must learn analytical and scientific software used in cement testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cement, water, and oilfield chemical tests in the cement laboratory.
• Operate standard lab equipment such as cement consistometers, ovens, and viscometers.
• Prepare cement mixtures and chemical solutions per formulas or specs.
• Maintain quality by sampling materials and analyzing products.
• Collaborate with Cement Engineers on mixes, design experiments, and support tech development.
• Compile and interpret data, write reports, and input data into databases.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and order replenishments; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Comply with safety, PPE, and environmental policies; assist in safety audits.
