Job summary

West Hawaii Concrete in Waimea, HI is seeking a Class A CDL driver for our Waimea location. You will deliver construction materials to industrial and residential areas, assist with back-up duties in ready mix, and support safety protocols on site.

The role requires driving semi trucks, experience with 8-10 speed transmissions, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. irregular hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Have previous truck driving experience, preferably semi.
• Experience with 8-10 speed transmissions.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. occasionally during the day.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Manage an irregular work schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Properly follow company safety procedures in the efficient operation of semi trucks and miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in and around the work area as per the supervisor's instructions.
• Deliver construction materials to both industrial and residential areas.
• Understand and follow delivery and shift schedules directed and scheduled by the dispatchers both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Maintain assigned truck by keeping efficient working condition and cleanliness of equipment.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major repair problems to the supervisor.
• Work effectively with others such as supervisors, employees, and the public.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
