Job summary

Turner Industries Group, LLC in Port Allen, LA is seeking a Cement Finisher to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specified textures. This is a non-exempt, full-time role reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, using hand and power tools, and complying with safety requirements on site. TWIC is required; NCCER certification may be preferred for advancement.

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Cement Finisher to join our Team in the Port Allen, LA area. This position is responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specified textures. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Basic knowledge of cement finishing hand tools and power tools
• May require NCCER certification
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them using a variety of tools and techniques; repairing and maintaining concrete surfaces, which includes patching holes, cracks, and other damage; adhere to safety standards and regulations while working with potentially hazardous materials and tools; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation:

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
