Job summary

Blakes-Beverage-Co-Career-Opportunities is seeking a Cellar Technician to oversee daily cellar duties, ensure quality, and support continuous improvement. You will manage equipment, perform sanitation and SOP-compliant tasks, and work as part of a safety-conscious team to meet production quotas.

Responsibilities span operating filtration and CIP systems, contributing to R&D, and maintaining clean, organized cellar spaces while collaborating with supervisors and other departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry/trade magazines.
• Excellent knowledge of the industry and trends impacting the business.
• Ability to communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to do routine business math calculations including costs and pricing.
• Excellent understanding of the principles of Production.
• Able to use Microsoft Office Applications.
• Must be able to lift and move at least 165 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to remain standing for an entire shift.
• Regular, predictive, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate cellar duties to produce and meet/exceed quotas for BHC products.
• Maintain filtration, CIP, and transfer systems for smooth production.
• Assist in run-down, blow-out, and clean cycles on filtration systems.
• Share knowledge with the team and contribute to R&D.
• Develop and voice ideas for growth and cellar optimization.
• Work as a team to produce high volume of quality hard cider safely and efficiently.
• Learn and perform cellar operations per SOPs.
• Attend shifts as scheduled by the Cellar Manager.
• Collaborate with Cellarmen, Supervisors, Managers, and other staff.
• Support other areas of the production building as needed.
• Keep cellar areas clean, organized, and 5S compliant.
• Prepare tanks for upcoming day requirements.
• Maintain cellar tools, equipment, and materials.
• Complete paperwork accurately for each duty.
• Maintain a positive production facility attitude.
• Contribute positively with attitude, ideas, and work ethic.
• Conduct yourself professionally and cooperatively.
• Arrive on time with a positive attitude daily.
• Ensure time is used efficiently and effectively.
• Meet or exceed production volume goals as set by the Manager.
• Show willingness to grow and achieve daily.
