Job summary

E & J Gallo Winery is seeking dedicated individuals for our cellar production team. Under supervision, you will help ensure wine quality through sanitation, sampling, blending, and fermentation maintenance while operating designated equipment on-site.

Applicants should have basic data entry knowledge for wine inventory, be willing to travel up to 5%, wear respirators when required, and adhere to GMP policies as part of a safety-focused, continuous-improvement culture.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate; or one year of experience in wine production or manufacturing.
  • Forklift certification and operation as needed.
  • Required to wear a respirator when necessary.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Travel to company offices, sites, and meeting locations up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you passionate about wine production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team? E & J Gallo Winery is looking for dedicated individuals to join our cellar production team. Under general supervision, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and excellence of our wines. This position involves various tasks, including tank sanitation, sampling, blending, and fermentation maintenance, while also operating designated machinery. We value a mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring that there's always a better way to accomplish tasks.

To thrive in this role, you should have basic knowledge and experience in data entry into wine inventory databases. Your responsibilities will include safely and efficiently operating all assigned equipment to meet or exceed production goals in a cost‑effective manner. Maintaining a clean, organized, and Food Safety compliant work area is essential, as is performing routine production reporting and quality checks. You will be expected to consistently perform all in‑process and final production quality control and verification checks.

What You Will Need:
  • High school diploma or State‑issued equivalency certificate; or one year of experience in wine production or manufacturing.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation
  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $17.63 – $23.84 / hourly
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
