Job summary

Ford in Dearborn is seeking a battery manufacturing engineer to industrialize cell-to-pack BEV facilities and drive continuous improvement. You will lead line layouts, launch facilities, and collaborate across Product, Purchasing and suppliers to ensure manufacturing feasibility and quality targets.

The role requires 1–3 years in process engineering, a bachelor's in engineering, and experience with AutoCAD/Siemens PLM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering required; master's preferred.
• 1–3 years in Process Engineering required.
• Experience with Cell-to-Pack module assembly processes a plus.
• Experience on large scale manufacturing projects preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Siemens PLM; familiar with 3DX.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes, layout lines, and launch facilities.
• Lead manufacturability reviews with Product, Purchasing and Suppliers.
• Drive PFMEA, control plans, and quality methods.
• Define cycle time, OEE targets, and labor strategies.
• Oversee equipment installation and site acceptance.
• Support plant operations to achieve system performance objectives.
