Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Discovery Project Manager in Cambridge to co‑own execution of next‑generation cell therapy programs across autoimmune targets. You will partner with Bioscience Leads to drive strategy, timelines, budgets, risks, and milestones while ensuring effective cross‑functional collaboration and decision-making in a hybrid work model.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in pharma or biotech project management, plus experience guiding discovery programs through

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years in pharma, biotech, drug discovery, or early development.
Experience leading cross-functional discovery projects through milestones and investment decisions.
Strong understanding of autoimmune or immune-mediated disease biology.
Proven ability to partner with scientific leaders to drive execution and delivery.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Drive execution, delivery, and decision-making across discovery-stage programs with Bioscience Leads.
Co-own program scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and milestones; manage governance.
Lead setup of charters, governance structures, and integrated project plans.
Prepare updates, dashboards, and milestone reports for leadership teams.
Promote AI-enabled scheduling, risk analysis, and reporting to improve execution.
