Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is seeking a Cell Technician to own an assigned production area, ensure equipment performance, and drive quality improvements. You will handle quality stops, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across the cell lines.

The role emphasizes documenting downtime, participating in continuous improvement, and readying backup equipment while supporting weekend and shift work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in reading standard work instructions and using common troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate production equipment to meet daily quality and volume targets.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and component replacement; escalate complex issues.
• Document downtime events, quality issues, and shift handovers clearly.
• Maintain 5S and TPM practices to ensure safe, clean work areas.
• Support uptime improvements and relay issues for downtime incident resolution.
