RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a production/ manufacturing supervisor to drive safety, quality, cost and schedule on the factory floor. The role leads a production team, manages staffing, and coordinates with engineering, quality and operations to meet program needs.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree, 2+ years in production or manufacturing, lean manufacturing experience, and familiarity with shop floor systems such as SAP, iMRO or CMES. On-site 1st shift.

This position supports multiple Programs, production business needs and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment supporting the s Factory. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and performs a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and applying Lean Manufacturing techniques to successfully meet production requirements.

This position is working 1st shift, on-site, at our McKinney, TX location.

What You Will Do
  • Responsible for safety, quality, cost, and schedule execution on the factory floor.
  • Supervise day-to-day factory operations, resource loading, process control, and business performance metrics.
  • Interface with Production Associates, ProductionControl, Program Operations, Quality, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, as well asFactory Management.
  • Be responsible for workforce planning and forecasting, employee training, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management, and ensuring compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Requires engagement with other functional areas where direct and indirect influence experience is needed so that we have continuous improvement in cost, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Willing to work off-shift and overtime as required by program and factory needs
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
  • Experience working in production, manufacturing, or operations
  • Experience managing a production team and/or group subordinate employees
  • Experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling and lean manufacturing concepts
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience withprocesses such as R6s, iMRO, SAP, and CMES or an equivalent shop floor management & MRP system
  • Experience with cost management and/or rework reduction efforts
  • Experience in Visual Controls, Line Balancing, LEAN Factory management principles and optimizing the use of critical resources
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering, process development and continuous improvement

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
