Cell Leader – Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF)
Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We’re looking for an experienced Cell Leader to assist the ACF with site startup on‑site and lead long‑term production planning.
What You Will Do
- Assist with the start‑up of the facility, onboard, train and provide direction to skilled employees
- Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by Control Tower objectives
- Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements
- Perform daily supervisory responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members
- Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities
- Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings and effective communication
- Work dedicatedly to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals
- Demonstrate 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Standard Production System (SPS)
- Drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system and continuous improvement
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years of related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
- U.S. citizenship required
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working with all levels of management
- Experience with SAP
- Specialized knowledge of technical/operational practices or shop environment experience
- Experience with continuous improvement principles & lean manufacturing
