Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks a Cell Leader to lead one or more manufacturing cells, applying CORE and LEAN to boost quality, throughput, and delivery. You will oversee a multi-skilled team in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components, ensure proper training, and maintain a safe, compliant workplace.

You will conduct performance reviews, lead toolbox talks, communicate goals clearly, and coordinate across three shifts. Some off-shift work and onsite presence are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in engineering/related field with several years of manufacturing/continuous improvement experience.
• Experience leading teams in engineering/manufacturing environments and applying lean methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and shop floor procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more manufacturing cells using CORE and LEAN to improve quality, throughput, and delivery.
• Supervise a multi-skilled team in manufacture/repair of jet engine components; ensure training and safety compliance.

What You Will Do

The Cell Leader is responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells by applying CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), LEAN and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity. Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components. Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Execute business decisions fairly conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives. Able to bridge business objectives across (3) operating shifts. Support all legal obligations such as United States Government contracting and Administration of FAA policies and procedures. Sets day-to-day goals and objectives for team members. Responsible for making modifications in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area. Have flexibility for shift overlap and occasional off shift work as needed

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment In absence of a degree, High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
