Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a production leader in Atlanta to supervise lines, plan schedules with site schedulers, and ensure quality and efficiency across manufacturing operations.

You will inspect equipment, enforce ISO standards, and drive safety and workmanship across the site. This role reports to operations leadership and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensures compliance with ISO standards and site quality policies.

Job description

Directs and coordinates activities of production lines in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate.

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products.
• Working with site schedulers, plans production schedules, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develops or revises work instructions, working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data from PICS (SAP).
• Maintaining a high level of motivation in the Cell, Housekeeping and safety.
• Ensures that the Site Quality Policy, Operational Procedures and High Standards of Workmanship are maintained at all times.
• Must be able to build a strong working relationship with customers.
• Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Initiate action for food safety issues.
