Job summary

Evolution-Driveline is seeking a Cell Lead to direct day-to-day operations within the assigned cell at our Iowa facility. The role focuses on achieving daily/weekly goals, training staff, and ensuring the build process is followed while addressing parts issues for continuous output improvements.

You will lead by example, mentor team members, and collaborate with maintenance and scheduling to maintain safe, organized operations and drive ongoing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Execute the plan from the General Manager for daily/weekly goals.
• Assist in training of new employees.
• Ensure the approved build process is followed while mitigating parts issues and troubleshooting constraints.
• Lead by example to meet or exceed production expectations.
• Support scheduler with builds on hold due to parts and help Drivetrain techs improve output.
• Maintain a safe workplace and communicate unsafe acts or conditions.
• Collaborate with management to develop SOPs/WIs and coordinate with maintenance on equipment issues.
• Perform other duties as determined by management.

Summary: The cell lead will help direct day-to-day operations within their assigned cell. They will help to cover employee absences within the cell, ensure employees are utilizing time efficiently, meet daily/weekly goals set, and assist in all training and troubleshooting opportunities. The cell lead will assist in the growth and improvement of our current processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Execute the assigned plan received from the General Manager for daily/weekly goals
• Assist in the training of new employees
• Ensure the approved build process is followed by the employees while mitigating part issues, and troubleshooting constraints
• Works to improve upon the current processes
• Leads team by example, motivates and develops team to help meet or exceed production expectations.
• Help the scheduler maintain a current list of builds on hold due to parts, assisting Drivetrain techs to improve output.
• Ensures a safe workplace by communicating to management any unsafe acts or conditions
• Works with management to help develop SOP/WI
• Communicates with maintenance on equipment issues
• Other duties determined by management

Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Strong background and knowledge of units being built, ability to finish any unit
• Minimum of 3 years working in a shop environment
• Ability to problem solve and improve upon the current process
• Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire a team
