Location: Indianapolis, IN

Employment Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $21.00–$24.00/hour

Position Overview

Bcforward is seeking a detail-oriented Cell Culture Technician (Contractor) to support its Predictive Safety Center (PSC) within the Crop Protection Regulatory Science team. This lab-based role involves cell culture support, aseptic technique, and general lab operations. The technician will work closely with scientists and staff to ensure smooth execution of daily laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily cell culture operations under the guidance of scientific staff.
Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tasks, including:
Ordering and restocking lab supplies.
Cleaning and maintaining lab workspaces.
Performing manual liquid handling and using automated liquid handlers.
Retrieving and storing biological samples from freezers and shakers.
Collaborate with the Microbial Repository team to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date lab records.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline, or laboratory experience.
(Note: Master’s-level candidates will be considered overqualified.)
