Job summary

MSD in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a cell culture specialist to contribute to production of monoclonal antibodies and other cell-based products. You will handle multiple cell lines, perform transfections, and operate culture and purification systems in a GMP/GLP environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 months of aseptic cell culture experience. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of three months of experience performing cell culture using aseptic technique in a laboratory setting required.
• Experience in a GMP/GLP, ISO Certified environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate multiple cell lines (adherent and suspension) for production of monoclonal antibodies.
• Perform transfections for recombinant antibodies.
• Operate culture equipment and perform daily cell culture and purification processes.
• Maintain inventory and basic lab housekeeping; ensure cleanliness and readiness of work areas.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration; document validations as required.
• Vialing and storage of cell-based products.
