GFT is seeking a CEI Sr. Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in Tampa, FL.

What You Will Do

At GFT, we’re not just engineering the future; we’re meticulously building it. We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in construction of Roadway Projects and FDOT Standards. The role inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that results, procedures, and materials comply with plans and specifications. The role will serve as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors, and manage all aspects of a project including construction observations, material testing, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
• Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
• Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standard and approve installation.
• Interpret plans and specifications for Contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
• Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates and change orders.
• Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
• Monitor several types of work activity.
• Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance.
• Manage documents using electronic platforms such as MAC, PrC and Procore.

What You Will Bring To Our Firm

• ACI Field Inspector and Troxler Nuclear Density Guage Certifications.

Compensation

$37.00 - $42.00 per hour, salary dependent on experience and geographic location.
