Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector to perform technical assignments including inspection of utility relocation, roadway and bridge construction activities, oversight of contractor daily operations, and materials sampling and verification testing.

The role includes plans reading, field surveying and construction engineering computations. Responsibilities include inspecting construction work, conducting field tests, and assisting Senior Inspector.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in construction inspection.
• 1 year in roadway and/or bridge construction.

Job description

What We're Looking For:

Barge is looking for a CEI Inspector to perform technical assignments including inspection of utility relocation, roadway construction and bridge construction activities; oversight of contractor daily operations; performing materials sampling and verification testing; plans reading; field surveying and construction engineering computations. Monitor construction progress, verify work completed and assist with construction pay estimates and senior inspector responsibilities.

Education & Experience Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in construction inspection
• 1 year in roadway and/or bridge construction

Ideal candidate shall possess the following Qualifications/Certifications

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I
• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sediment Control Certification

(Candidates that possess some, but not all, of the above are eligible for employment consideration provided said certifications can be obtained within six months)
