HDR is hiring an Inspector Aide to assist our CEI Construction Inspection team on transportation projects. This position will be based at our project site in Orlando, Florida.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and stormwater systems.
• Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects
• Conduct or coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in‑place soil compaction testing.
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school or Associate degree
• Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection
• Ability to interpret construction schedules
• Local candidates

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
