Job summary

HDR in Orlando, FL is hiring for a Field Services professional focused on construction inspection for civil infrastructure projects. You will observe, document, and report on progress for roads, bridges, and stormwater systems, ensuring quality and safety on site.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, proficiency in MS Office, strong written communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and stormwater systems.
  • Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects
  • Conduct or coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing
  • Perform other duties as needed

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and stormwater systems.
  • Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school or Associate degree
  • Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
