Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Tampa, Florida area. You will inspect roadway and bridge construction, perform field tests, and support the delivery of high-quality construction engineering and inspection services.

You will assist the Senior CEI Inspector, monitor quality and conformance to specifications, and maintain inspection records. Daily field inspections, punch list work, and communication in English are key aspects of the

• Valid U.S Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work and perform field tests for compliance with contract documents.
• Assist Senior CEI Inspector and review work while in progress.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements through inspections.
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
• Track quality assurance progress.
• Conduct roadway and bridge construction inspections on site.
• Monitor on-site construction activities.
• Conduct inspections, observations and material testing, and verify construction work.
• Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Receive general supervision from Senior Inspector and assist in duties.

Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Tampa, Florida area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including roadway and bridge construction, while supporting the delivery of high-quality construction engineering and inspection services.

• The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents
• Responsible for performing assignments assisting Senior CEI Inspector in the performance of their duties and who reviews work while in progress
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracks quality assurance progress
• Construction inspection of roadway and bridge construction
• Monitoring on site construction activities
• Conduct inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work
• Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Receiving general supervision from and assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Occasional overnight work and/or assignments outside of employee’s primary location may be required

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $23 to $32.
