Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team and support ongoing construction engineering and inspection efforts in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that major transportation and infrastructure projects are delivered in accordance with FDOT standards, contract requirements, and overall project objectives.

• Responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
• Marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
• Coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors
• Performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Sets own project deadlines
• Provides on the job training to new employees
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Performdaily field inspections and maintains inspection records
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracks quality assurance progress
• Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
• U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
• Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

• Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
• CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• Nuclear Radiation Safety
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
