Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector to join our Orlando, FL project team on-site. You will perform complex field surveying, construction layout, and inspections to ensure adherence to FDOT standards and contract requirements.

You will mentor junior inspectors and help manage project timelines and quality control. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with several years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction, hold a valid US driver's license, and are ready to work on-site

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Valid US Driver’s License required; must pass Motor Vehicle Records review.

Responsibilities

  • Performs highly complex technical assignments related to field surveying and construction layout, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
  • Verifies engineering computations, inspects construction work, and conducts field testing to maintain quality and compliance standards
  • Coordinates, oversees, and provides guidance to junior inspectors to ensure consistent execution of inspection activities
  • Operates under the general supervision of the Project Administrator while exercising independent judgment in daily responsibilities
  • Utilizes experience and sound judgment to effectively plan, prioritize, and accomplish project goals
  • Establishes and manages project timelines and deadlines to support overall project delivery
  • Provides on-the-job training and mentorship to new team members to support their development and integration
  • Monitors conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and applicable code requirements through detailed inspection activities
  • Conducts daily field inspections and maintains accurate, organized inspection records and reports
  • Participates in punch list development, system testing, and commissioning activities to ensure project completion standards are met
  • Tracks and reports on quality assurance progress, identifying and addressing any deficiencies
  • Contributes to documentation for area and equipment turnover packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy for project closeout

Job Description

AECOMis actively seeking a highly skilledCEI Senior Inspectorto join our team and support ongoing construction engineering and inspection efforts in theOrlando, FL area. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that major transportation and infrastructure projects are delivered in accordance with FDOT standards, contract requirements, and overall project objectives.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma plus 4years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
  • Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
Additional Information

Occasional overnight work and/or assignments outside of employee’s primary location may be required
