Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector in Atlanta, GA to oversee field construction inspection, review plans, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical degree with substantial related experience, strong communication, and the physical capability to perform demanding field work. Expect a comprehensive benefits package and clear opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) plus eight years related experience OR an Associate Degree in a related technical field plus five years related experience is required.
• Good oral communications skills and ability to organize information.
• Math computation skills and understanding of contract plans and specifications.
• Must be physically fit to do manual labor and carry up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Reads contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, and regulatory agency manuals.
• Observes construction work such as trench excavation, pipe placement, backfill operations, pile driving, structure placement, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, signalization, and lighting, etc.
• Performs density and asphalt tests; samples and verifies certification of materials.
• Reviews shop drawings within limited area of expertise; logs and reports materials and work.
• Assists in directing the daily activities of less experienced staff.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $28.00 to $30.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
